It’s Time to Ignite Creativity in Entrepreneurship Education. What the Research Shows:

    • A 2012 Legatum Prosperity Index shows the U.S. has fallen out of the top 10. What prosperity leaders Norway, Denmark & Sweden share in common is a value system based on culture. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, culture is defined as:

      1. the beliefs, customs, arts, etc.,of a particular society, group, place, or time
      2. a particular society that has its own beliefs, ways of life, art, etc.
      3. a way of thinking, behaving, or working that exists in a place or organization (such as a business.)

    • A 2011 Martin Prosperity Institute study revealed that entrepreneurship levels may be connected to a region’s underlying creativity.

    • A 2010 IBM poll of 1,500 CEOs identified creativity as the No.1 “leadership competency” needed for future success.

    • A study of over 300,000 responses to the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking, accurately predicting kids’ creative accomplishments as adults since 1958, discovered scores have diminished continuously since 1991.(Bronson & Merryman, 2010)
