Arab Excellence facilitated bootcamp – Role Models and My Future

For Summer@INSEAD students

  1. Context
  • The Arab Excellence bootcamp at summer@INSEAD aimed to provide students with a hands on project (experiential) where they use 2 external elements (video clips of role models and their web research) to create a module (10 slides or 2-3 minutes of video) about insights they have had in shaping THEIR OWN career roadmap
  • Provide an opportunity for INSEAD summer students to co-create content with AE based on the interviews with role models on architecting THEIR future
  • To Inspire and empower students to leverage high level role models and provide them with the tools they need in order to define shape their own vision and dream in life and achieve excellence in the future
  • Workshop took on August 17th afternoon, two days days before the graduation speech of Arab Excellence president Hamza Chraibi
  • In two hours, students developed a module based on their web research and explain 1 or 2 insights from a role model and turn it into a presentation of 8 slides
  1. Workshop
  • Mini boot camp that lasted 4 hours, with prizes for the winnings teams
  • Each team of 4/5 students had to select one interview capsule with a role model to work on (material and content provided by AE)
  • They conducted Web research, selected a specific chapter and concept, analyzed it and built a PPT presentation around it (8 slides)
  • The module the students built included a case study, a skill or concept analysis (mind map), and how to adapt and nurture this skill for a young student (roadmaps and career planning)
  • The concepts developed included:
    • Finding one’s passion or dream,
    • overcoming challenges and failures through perseverance,
    • tackling risks,
    • implementing a concrete strategy to succeed,
    • increasing emotional skills (EQ),
    • building a support network (mentors)
